Ele’s Place, a healing center for grieving children, can support your school in the following ways:
Resource and Referral- Guidance for parents and teachers working with a grieving child
- Professional referrals to social workers and psychologists in the community
School Staff Support- Presentations for teachers, counselors and administrators are provided at school meetings, in-services and workshops. Presentations can be customized to the situational needs of staff. (We recommend at least a half hour presentation.)
- Consultations regarding the needs of a grieving student, class, or school
- Workshops for educators and other school personnel are offered at Ele’s Place (contact us for dates).
Crisis Intervention- Help develop your crisis plan
- Be part of an initial crisis response
- Support staff in an ongoing crisis response
- Be part of your crisis team
Ele Group
- Ele’s Place works in partnership with school counselors to provide 8-week support groups at Otto Middle School, Pattengill Middle School and Pleasant View Magnet School.
- School counselors interested in partnering Ele Group in their school in the future should contact us.
Ele’s Place is currently piloting a school-based support group for grieving children called Ele’s Group.
This program may be available to your school in the future.
