How To Get Started

The Ele’s Place peer grief support group programs offer children and teens the opportunity to connect with others who have also experienced the death of someone in their lives. Our groups are designed to provide an emotionally safe environment that encourages trust and sharing. Our children and teen groups are facilitated by trained volunteers and overseen by licensed Clinical Program Staff. Adult groups for the primary parent(s)/guardian(s) are led by licensed Clinicians.

  1. When your family is ready to call Ele's Place, you will be connected with a member of our Clinical Program Staff, who are specialists in grief and bereavement. During this initial conversation with a Clinical Program Staff member:
    1. You will be invited to share as much as much or as little of your story as you wish.
    2. They will offer support and share information about our program.
    3. You will discuss together if it feels like the right fit and the right time for your family to participate in Ele’s Place groups.
    4. They will obtain your contact information and send you the enrollment forms.
  2. After we receive your completed enrollment forms, your family will be welcomed to an intake at Ele’s Place.
  3. If you call outside of business hours, or are asked to leave a message, please know that one of our Clinical Program Staff members will return your call as soon as possible. Our practice is to return program calls the same or next business day.
  4. If Ele’s Place is not the right fit for your family, we will do our best to provide resources or referrals for other services in the community.
  5. While we are only able to send enrollment forms to a parent or legal guardian, we welcome calls from concerned friends, family members and the community, and are able to provide program information, resources and referrals, as needed.

If you have any additional questions about our program or if you would like to discuss any concerns you have about your grieving children or teens, please feel free to contact us at the one of the phone numbers listed above. We will do our very best to assist you.
