Community Outreach and Education
Ele’s Place provides support and training for people in our community who come in contact with grieving children and want to help them. Through our speaker’s bureau and workshops, Ele’s Place trains and makes presentations to teachers and school administrators, medical professionals, funeral home staff, hospice staff, clergy, and community organizations. Ele’s Place provides them with a greater understanding of the needs of grieving children, how to help them cope with the death of a family member, and the services provided by Ele’s Place. In addition, Ele’s Place maintains a library of books and videos for program participants, publishes supportive literature, a periodic newsletter, and hosts annual outreach events.
Tour of the Heart
Ele’s Place opens its doors to members of the public who want to learn about our programs and their positive impact on a grieving child. Each location hosts regularly-scheduled tours, inviting guests to see our locations and experience a bit of what a programming night might look like for our families.
This tour is not generally appropriate for the newly-bereaved. If your nearest Ele's Place branch does not have a tour scheduled for a time that works for you, please contact that branch to inquire about a private tour. Organizations may also host tours of our facility as an educational or service opportunity. Please contact us for more details.
