Ele’s Place is seeking a Human Resources Manager. This position partners as a member of the organization’s Leadership Team to nurture and develop a culture of continuous improvement, employee engagement and excellent customer service Ele’s Place exemplifies.  This position supports the development and execution of Ele’s Place strategic priorities.

This position manages the administration of the following functional areas: employee relations, performance management, benefits administration, onboarding, legal compliance, payroll, and recruitment/selection.

Primary Responsibilities: 

·       Provide guidance and support to leadership team for all HR programs.

·       Assesses HR needs and identifies opportunities for organizational development.

·       Oversees Employee Relations.

·       Ensures organization’s compliance with federal, state, and local laws.

·       Payroll reporting

·       Develops short and long-term HR strategies and solutions to increase performance,          efficiency, and employee satisfaction.

·       Plans and conducts new employee orientation.

·       Administers performance review program.

·       Processes personnel transactions such as hires, promotions, terminations, etc.

·       Conducts wage surveys to ensure competitive wage rates.

·       Facilitates recruitment and selection processes to fill vacancies statewide.

·       Develops and facilitates employee engagement programs.

General Requirements:

·       Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field.

·       PHR or SHRM-CP (preferred)


·       3+ years progressive HR Generalist or related experience.

·       One year working as part of a management team (preferred).

·       Previous experience working in a non-profit setting (preferred).

·       Strong knowledge of state and federal laws and practices.

·       Excellent interpersonal skills.

·       Excellent problem-solving skills.

·       Demonstrated ability to be consultative and collaborative with constituents at all levels of an organization.

·       Must be self-directed with exceptional organization skills.

·       High tolerance for ambiguity.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this position is temporarily working in a remote capacity.

Position is a full-time, hourly exempt position. Compensation will commensurate with experience.
