Director of Development- Ann Arbor

Ele’s Place is seeking a creative and mission driven individual to join our dynamic development team at our Ann Arbor location. We are seeking a skilled professional with a proven track record of success in major gift fundraising, long-term stewardship of donors, with strong background in grant writing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cultivates and maintains relationships with donors and prospective donors, especially Healing Hearts Society members, table hosts, and tour guests.
  • Works closely with the Branch Director to identify current and prospective donors, and coordinate cultivation and solicitation plans.
  • Solicits and stewards major donors.
  • Promotes Tours of the Heart and recruits guests. Participates in Tours and follows-up with tour guests as appropriate. 
  • Ensures appropriateness and timeliness of thank you letters for donations. Ensures appropriate data for donors, gifts and donor prospects are captured in database.
  • Assists Director and Events Coordinator with planning and production of donor events.
  • Works to ensure pledge commitments are fulfilled by donors.
  • Oversees grants program for the branch including managing deadlines and applications for operating support, programming needs, and special campaigns.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 1-3 years of major gift fundraising experience
  • 1-3 years of experience with grant writing

Experience working with community boards preferred but not required.

Position Status:Full-time (40 hours), hourly exempt.

Position will primarily work remotely for the duration of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Compensation:$50,000-$60,000 Annually
