Ele's Place of Greater Flint and Genesee County is seeking a part time (20 hrs/wk) Bereavement & Volunteer Coordinator to coordinate the recruitment, training, assignment and supervision of programming volunteers.

Education Requirements:

Master's degree, and a minimum of LLMSW, LLPC, or LLMFC certification 

Essential Job Functions:
  • Oversees the recruitment of program volunteers for Ele's Place of Greater Flint and Genesee County, and responds to inquiries from other potential volunteers. Ensures volunteer packets are sent to interested candidates, and information in these packets are kept up-to-date. Coordinates the pre- and post-trainng interview process for prospective facilitators, and conducts interviews.
  • Plans and coordinates all aspects of facilitator training program and leads portions of the training. Identifies additional training needs for facilitators and group leaders; coordinates the development and implementation of trainings, such as in-service workshops. Trains program helpers as needed.
  • Coordinates assignment of facilitators and other program volunteers (program helpers, substitute facilitators, clinicians).
  • Assists with overseeing support groups sessions as assigned:
    • Provides guidance/support/feedback to facilitators and volunteers; shares information about procedures, etc. with facilitators; and ensures all set-up/clean-up work is completed.
  • May assist with providing information about new families, family updates, and other announcements to facilitators; and addresses family concerns or issues.
  • Conducts family intakes and orientations as assigned; provides follow-up and referral as needed.
  • Maintains family records, including records of applications sent and received, and ensures that family information on database system is correct and up-to-date.
  • Responds to inquiries from families and others seeking information, guidance and/or referral.
  • Ensures that volunteer records (database and files) are maintained accurately, including records of volunteer packets sent, applications received, and volunteer assignments.
  • Assists with one or more of the following specific responsibilities, as assigned:
    • Plans for and coordinates activity room projects
    • Makes presentations to community groups, teachers, physicians, etc. about Ele's Place and children's grief issues.
    • Keeps mental health therapist referral list up-to-date
    • Ensures community resources list is up-to-date
    • Coordinates other projects, as assigned

Ele's Place - Ann Arbor is seeking a full-time (30 hrs./wk.) Program Volunteer Coordinator for recruiting, training, assigning, and supervising volunteers in our grief support program for children, teens, and families. Requires working one evening of support group programming per week. This position also serves as part of our program team and provides guidance and support to families and other community members around issues of death, grief, and loss.

Education Requirements:
Master's degree, and a minimum of LLMSW, LLPC, or LLMFC certification

Ele's Place Michigan is seeking a part-time (20 hrs/wk) Human Resources Coordinator to organize, coordinate, and maintain the Human Resources Department. This position has the potential of becomming full-time.

Education Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) or equivalent
Essential Job Functions:
  • Coordinate hiring process for all staff, including; position postings, screening candidates for interviews,  maintaining communication with candidates during the recruitment/screening process, reference checks, position proposals, new hire paperwork; background checks, licensure verification (if applicable), employment agreements, completion of all paperwork, and staff orientation.
  • Work collaboratively with HRM Services to ensure organization remains compliant with state standards and regulations.
  • Verify all board paperwork is up-to-date and filed accurately.
  • Construct, maintain, and update all employee personnel records and files in a timely and strictly confidential manner.
  • Audit and maintain accuracy and completeness of Form I-9 and background clearance files in accordance with legal requirements.
  • Assists in conducting annual review of salary surveys; makes recommendations to President & CEO. Works with the Human Resources Advisory Committee as needed. Coordinate Human Resources Advisory Committee meetings and draft minutes.
  • Administers employee benefits, including health and dental insurance, Aflac, and 401k plan.
  • Manages and coordinates performance evaluation process.
  • Travel to branch staff meetings as directed by Supervisor.
