CEO Chief Executive Officer

 

Ele's Place is seeking a strategic yet action-oriented CEO to drive the fulfillment of our important purpose and further the mission of the organization. The CEO will provide direction and manage operations to move the organization forward. A passionate communicator, this position is the internal leader and external face of the organization.

In this role, the CEO will:

  • Carry out the organization’s vision, mission, and values through strategic planning, program excellence, policy development, and operational management
  • Effectively manage financial resources and comply with applicable laws, and regulations to preserve the organization’s fiscal integrity
  • Lead and develop the organization’s team and maintain a culture that fosters collaboration and growth
  • Build and promote active Board participation and advise members of key developments affecting the organization
  • Nurture relationships with families, volunteers, donors, partners, community members, and other stakeholders
  • Maintain a visible presence within the communities we serve  representing the organization at community groups and public events to increase awareness of the organization’s mission
  • Expand development, fundraising activities and revenue-generating efforts to support and enhance existing programs

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Minimum 8-10 year’s leadership in a non-profit organization or one of size and nature that is comparable to Ele’s Place ($3M budget, <100 employees, multi-site) Prior CEO experience at a non-profit (preferred)
  • Passion for developing vision and facilitating growth
  • An entrepreneurial and innovative approach to business planning
  • Demonstrated operations experience including strategic planning, program management, budgeting and forecasting, and financial management
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, presentation, and public speaking skills
  • Enthusiasm and dedication to cultivating solid, long-term relationships with staff, Board, donors, funders, foundations, and partners
  • Strong fund development experience and track record in fundraising and generating new revenue streams (Certified Fund Raising Executive [CFRE] designation preferred)

Education Requirements: Bachelor’s degree (Master’s degree preferred) in social work, public administration, or related field
