Jennifer Wolfe Howard, LMSW was named President and CEO of Ele’s Place in December of 2022. Prior to joining the Ele’s Place Team, she served as director of the Turner Senior Wellness Program and Assistant Director of Community Programs for the Geriatric Department of Michigan Medicine. Jennifer also served as the Executive Director of the Alzheimer’s Association, Michigan Great Lakes Chapter for 10 years. During her tenure with the Alzheimer’s Association, Jennifer served on national strategic planning committees for revenue generation and public policy. She was invited to serve on the national Mission Forward Task Force along with other select chapter executives and board members which explored organizational strategy for rapid growth and best mission delivery. Jennifer was also selected to serve on the national Program Task Force and Executive Planning Committees. Jennifer holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Wayne State University and a master’s degree in social work from the University of Michigan. She is a licensed clinical social worker with experience in psychotherapy, care consultation, and case management. Though Jennifer has spent her social work career working in with older adults, she feels extremely connected to the mission of Ele’s Place having experienced the death of her father weeks before her senior year of high school.
Jennifer resides in Hamburg, Michigan with her husband, dog, and three cats. She has two adult daughters who attend the University of Michigan and play in the Michigan Marching Band. Jennifer is a volunteer musician and has enjoyed playing saxophone for over 20 years with the Ann Arbor Concert Band.
